Title Sequence Analysis of Footloose

3 seconds- Red background. A man, wearing brown trousers and brown shoes, is on the right hand side of the screen, tapping his feet to some music.

7 seconds- Black background. Someone new in blue jeans and brown shoes starts tapping their feet to the same music. 'Paramount pictures presents' appears in white writing in the middle of the screen.

13 seconds- Some women's feet wearing white high heels come on screen and continue dancing. 'A Daniel Melnick production' fades in. It is placed in the same place as the title was and is in the same font and colour.

19 seconds- Another person joins in, wearing bright white shoes. 'A Herbert Ross film' fades into the middle of the screen.

25 seconds- Someone wearing red and white trainers starts dancing. We here the main part of the song 'Footloose' as the title fades in.

33 seconds- The name 'Kevin Bacon' fade onto the screen in front of someone else dancing.

37 seconds- 'Lori Singer' fades in. Someone else in heels dances behind the text.

42 seconds- The music and the dancing continues whilst 'Dianne Wiest's name appears over top.

47 seconds- Someone in red trainers dancing whilst the 'and John Lithgow ' is written in front.

52 seconds- someone taps their feet in the background. Names: 'Frances Lee McCain' and 'Christopher Penn' appear in the middle of the screen.

58 seconds- Someone else in white heels taps their feet and some names appear in the middle. 'Elizabeth Gorcey', 'Sarah Jessica Paarker' and 'Jim Youngs'.

64 seconds- Four names: 'Douglas Dirkson', 'Lynne Marta', 'Arthur Rosenberg' and 'Timothy Scott' appear on screen in front of someone else dancing.

72 seconds- Someone in legwarmers dances in the background as 'casting by...' fades into the middle of the screen.

78 seconds- Someone else dances as 'costumes by...' fades onto the screen.

86 seconds- 'Music supervised by...' appears in front of someone dancing in red heels.

91 seconds- A man dancing in brown shoes is in the background behind the text: 'score adaption by...'.

94 seconds- 'Choreographed by...' appears in the middle of the screen, in front of someone else dancing.

102 seconds- 'Edited by..' fades into the middle of the screen. Someone in heels dances behind it.

106 seconds- Someone just in socks, moonwalks onto the screen whilst 'production designer...' is written in the middle.

110 seconds- The dancing continues with another person as 'director of photography...' fade onto the screen.

118 seconds- Someone in white dance shoes taps their feet in the background whilst 'executive producer...' fades into the middle of the screen.

124 seconds- 'Written by....' fades into the middle of the screen, in front of some one else dancing in white boots.

137 seconds- 'Produced by...'  is written in the middle of the screen. More dancing continues behind it.

142 seconds- 'Directed by Herbert Ross' fades into the screen as the person behind finishes dancing and the song ends.
