Teen-angst opening sequence analysis

Easy A

  • Introduction to all main characters
  • Titles are white on the floor in a normal, plain font (cast and credits all in white, title is white and red in a different font).
  • School setting, teens can relate, talking about boys.
  • The audience know straight away that its a teen-angst, we see a teacher and a groups full of a focused age group.
  • The editing is very smooth and flows through the different groups of people. 
  • The opening scene moves a medium pace.
  • There is a voice over from the main character, explaining the story as we see the setting.
  • The music is cheerful, happy, upbeat and it lets us know it is a comedy.
